The book is uncommon, and signed copies are exceptionally scarce, let alone with such a lengthy, beautiful and unique inscription. The UK first print run by Macdonald was undoubtedly much smaller, perhaps around 2,000 copies. It was published in the US by Viking which had a first print run of 100,000 copies.
